Jack Looney is a photographer whose specialties include weddings and events, and architectural, commercial, conservation, editorial, and nature photography. He shoots 35-40 weddings annually, primarily in the Charlottesville-area. He also enjoys photographing sporting events such as UVA football and basketball. Among other projects, he is currently working on a joint venture between Natureserve, The Nature Conservancy and National Geographic to document the ecosystems unique to Virginia and its neighboring states. His work has been featured in a wide range of regional, national, and international publications. He is a member of the National Press Photographer’s Association, the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International, Professional Photographers of America, and Canon’s Professional Services Team. He’s also a member of Albemarle County’s Search & Rescue Team, and provides countless hours of pro bono service to various Charlottesville-area organizations. He currently resides in Crozet, Virginia with his wife and young son & daughter.
